Vijay Zol with his double century on debut is the 7th youngest player to score a Double Century in Ranji Trophy history at age of 18 years and 340 days. Sanju Samson also reached his double century in Ranji Trophy on the same day at age of 18 years and 352 days, he is the 8th youngest to score a Double Century in Ranji Trophy.

# Among the 7 players, 5 of their’s was their maiden First Class Century.

# RS Sodhi achieved this feat in his 4th match and 6th inning of his First Class Career.

# Ambatti Rayudu played this knock in his 3rd match and 4th inning of his FC Career. In previous 3 innings he aggregated only 34 runs (33, 1 & 0). In this match (his 4th) he scored 210 & 159*. He averaged 11.33 after his second match and after his 3rd match his average was 100.75 !

# Rayudu’s occasion was only the 2nd time in Ranji Trophy that a batsman scored 150+ in both innings of a match. The other A Kaypee (152 & 173) for Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in Quarter Final of 1990/91.

# Only 2 more Indians have scored 150+ in both innings of a First Class match - Dinesh Karthik (183 & 150) for South Zone vs West Zone in the Duleep Trophy Final of 2009/10 and Shikhar Dhawan (177 & 155) for Rest Of India vs Rajasthan in the Irani Trophy 2011/12.

# Rayudu’s aggregate of 369 runs in the match is the 5th highest aggregate in a Ranji Trophy match. The top 4 being 443 Nimbalkar (443*), 389 Pujara (37 & 352), 377 S Manjrekar (377) and 372 Laxman (353 & 19).

# Pinal Shah managed to achieve this in his 4th match and 6th inning of FC career. But he scored his next century in his 30th inning (also only 2 half centuries till then) and 3rd century in his 62nd inning. Overall in his FC career he has 3 centuries in 82 innings he has batted averaging 32.36.

# Wasim Jaffer scored his 314* at age of 18 years and 265 days in only his second First Class Inning. He is the youngest Indian and 2nd youngest after Javed Miandad to score a Triple Century in First Class Cricket. Third youngest is also an Indian, featuring in the above list, Abhinav Mukund.

# Mukund, before reaching this double century mark and converting it into a triple ton, scored 2 100s and 2 50s (a 96) in his first ten innings. His Triple century came in his 11th inning and 7th match of FC career.
