Manchester United currently is in the worst possible stage of there history in the premier League. The Manchester derby is the proof of how it has declined in the recent memory of fans. United ended up playing with defense of Shaw,Carrick,McNair,Valencia. Where as the defence in Moyes era which also ended up in the worst performance had the likes of Rafael,Vidic,Ferdinand,Evra. The bright youngsters like McNair, Blackett,Shaw need experienced players around them for truly play there career to the potential expected. The likes of Smalling, Jones who were brought by Sir Alex Ferguson have to step up or else are likely to be sent out by the former Dutch boss.

United have a mouth watering, solid attacking players which they brought in the summer. With the likes of DiMaria, Rooney, Mata, VanPersie,Falcoa at their bay, it looks the strongest in premier league.

As the saying goes the champions will be the one who have the best defence.Instead of recruiting the defence, united have recruited the attacking players which was not needed. They are not in champions league this term and looks in doubt even reaching in 2015-2016 unless they make some much needed step to improve the defense in January.Right for now, they are too dependent on the attacking players to provide the goals.

Some of the defenders Manchester united was looking for in the summer were either not available or too expensive for defender. Also the main reason was former Dutch boss Louis Van Gaal wanted to give a chance to all the players in the squad before recruiting new defenders which has backfired and United is struggling. January is the time which will decide the fate of Manchester United Champions league ambition.
