Humiliation Complete as India loses the final match by 87 runs.

India suffered another defeat in the hands of New Zealand, as they complete a 4-0 annihilation of the struggling tourists. While Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor continued their extraordinary form to take NZ to a good total, coupled with some poor batting and incredible bowling from the debutant Matt Henry sealed the deal for the home side.

After winning the toss for the 5th consecutive time, MS Dhoni decided to field first for the 4th time in the series. The New Zealanders, who started slowly, accelerated in the powerplay, which continued till the end. Kane Williamson, who is in the prime form in his life, scored his 5th consecutive half-century of this innings, whereas Ross Taylor scored his 2nd consecutive century. Some worry signs ahead of the test series which will start soon.

As usual, the fast bowlers were incapable of breaking through the partership of Taylor and Williamson. Varun Aaron was the most impressive amongst the Indian bowlers, whereas Shami, though initially looked economical, ended up giving more runs than expected at the end. The spinners too, as usual, were wicketless.

The Indian chase started in the most inauspicious manner. Both Rohit and Dhawan, usually aggressive, were ultra- cautious, thus ended up building up pressure on himself. Both of them got out cheaply. Virat Kohli looked the lone player who was capable of batting, as wickets kept trembling at the other end. Ajinkya Rahane disappointed yet again, whereas Ambati Rayudu failed to convert a solid start. Finally it was again Dhoni who had to come to India’s rescue. But it was evident that they were waging a lost battle, and eventually both of them fell.

Bhuvi and Shami delayed the inevitable with some lusty hitting. The NZ bowlers eventually ended the misery, as they bowled out India for 216. The very fact that Kane Williamson took 2 wickets in four overs gives us an idea as to either how incapable our bowlers are, or how technically weak our batsmen are.
