Bayern Munich won the UEFA Super Cup by beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties following a superb 2-2 draw in the extra time. Fernando Torres had broken the deadlock by scoring the first goal for Chelsea giving them a breakthrough in the game.The Bayern Munich responded with stiff and sudden attack and they quickly regained their possession after the first goal.Torres worked a couple of chances and was a headache to the Bayern defence.Torres was able to get through the loop holes in the bayern defence.He proved to be a great threat in the match. Ribery succeeded to score the goal for Bayern which he had narrowly missed in the first half.The second half so some fantastic football from both the teams trying to take a lead in the match .The match ended up in a draw at full time and was extended to extra time .With Hazard scoring for Chelsea sparked hopes for the team which was broken by a dramatic extra-time goal from Javi Martinez which secured a 2-2 draw.Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, two of Europe’s most dangerous wingers also possessed serious threat to Chelsea. Ramires saw red for a foul on Mario Götze but Chelsea was able to possess a real threat with 10 men .The game was then extended to penalty which saw Romelu Lukaku missing the penalty giving away the victory to Bayern.
