Match Preview SRH vs MI: Defending Champions' last throw of the dice

MATCH FACTS
What: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians
When: Monday, May 12, 2014. 8pm, IST
Where: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal
Head-to-Head: Sunrisers Hyderabad lead 2-1

Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Mumbai Indians at Uppal in Match 36 of this year’s IPL knowing that a win will keep them in pole position for the fourth and final playoff spot. They have won four and lost four and will look to improve on that record against a side struggling for form and consistency. Bowling has been the Sunrisers’ biggest strength and they will look to barge through the opponent’s batting line-up once again.
Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, know that any more slip-ups can cost them dear. They have played anything but like the defending champions so far this season and will have to find out solutions to their problems as soon as possible. Indifferent batting form and inconsistent bowling has led to their downfall many a times already and Rohit Sharma and Co. have their tasks cut out against a well-drilled outfit.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT
BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR has quietly been the hero for SRH. Not the most eye-catching personality on the park, the 24-year old from Uttar Pradesh has figures of 15/173 from 31.3 overs this season so far, at an incredible economy rate of 5.49. His control with the new ball and ability to get the breakthroughs regularly has been a charm for the captain.
KIERON POLLARD is not having the best IPL season of his career, by any means. The fact that his most famous exploit so far has been his on-field spat with Mitchell Starc says a lot and the MI fans would be hoping that the giant from Trinidad gives them some cricketing memories to take home before it’s too late.

PROBABLE OUTCOME
MUMBAI INDIANS take this one and make things even more interesting in the middle of the table.
