Weekend Preview: 'Derby d'Italia' and World’s Most Expensive Player takes centre stage

There will be a lot of buzz as all the major European Leagues resumes this weekend after the close of the transfer window and the international break. Football fans have plenty to look for this weekend as host of new signings will be in action for their respective new clubs.

Spanish La Liga:
The whole world’s attention will be firmly on Real Madrid’s match tonight away at Villareal as the World’s most expensive player, Gareth Bale, makes his debut for the “Galacticos”. Meanwhile Real Madrid’s arch enemy, Barcelona takes on Seville at Camp Nou.  On the other hand, last year’s third placed Atletico Madrid takes on Almeria.

English Premier League:
Mesut Ozil will make his debut as the most expensive player in Arsenal’s history following his deadline day transfer from Real Madrid as Arsenal takes on Sunderland. Marouane Fellaini could also make his debut for the Red Devils as Manchester United face Crystal Palace. In the other prominent fixtures, Everton takes on Chelsea, Tottenham are at home to Norwich City, Manchester City visits Stoke City and table toppers Liverpool is away at Swansea City.

German Bundesliga:
Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich resumes their title defence after the International break with a match against Hannover 96 at the Allianz Arena. On the other hand, title contender Borussia Dortmund entertains Hamburger SV at their home with revenge on their minds as Hamburg twice beat Dortmund last season, including a 3-2 win in September which ended the then champions’ 31-game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen takes on Vfl Wolfsburg and Schalke 04 visits FSV Mainz in the weekend’s other prominent fixtures.

Italian Serie A:
Kaka, the prodigal son of AC Milan, will mark his return to Seria A when AC Milan visits Torino on Saturday. But the big news in Seria A will the ‘Derby d’Italia’ as the two giants of Italian football, Juventus and Inter Milan face each other at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan. Other prominent matches are Napoli v/s Atalanta, Fiorentina v/s Cagliari and Parma v/s AS Roma.
