Nawaz Sharif dissolves Pakistan Cricket Board

Pakistan is the only cricket-playing nation where the PM has control over the cricket board, unlike other countries where PM doesn’t involve. It is very common for the PCB to be dissolved or changed every-time there is a new PM in office. Since Nawaz Sharif took charge of the country, it was on the cards for him to dissolve.

The dissolution was the outcome of an issue that began with the Islamabad High Court’s judgment on a constitutional writ petition challenging the election of the previous PCB chairman, Zaka Ashraf.
