South Africa vs Pakistan 2nd T20 Preview

Not a lot has been going well for Pakistan off late, especially in T20s. Luck doesn’t seem to be favouring them while South Africa seem to have a good measure of them at the moment. Nevertheless, it can all change when the two sides meet again in the second T20 cat Newlands, Cape Town which has hosted only one T20 international since the World T20 of 2007. Saeed Ajmal is expected to make his way back into the side, probably at the expense of Anwar Ali while the South African side may undergo changes as well, with AB Devilliers likely to come back from being rested and Henry Davids now released to play first class cricket. Ryan Mclaren could return as well in place of Wayne Parnell, making there pace battery a formidable one.
Young sensation Quinton De Kock looks in rich vein of form at the moment with some scintillating stroke play adding to Mohammad Hafeez’s worries. More is expected of Pakistan’s bowling while their batsmen need to take more responsibility than what they have showed in the last month or so. Junaid Khan looks in good rhythm and so the South African openers would have to guard against that incoming delivery early on as there is always a bit of lateral movement in the air at Newlands. So the team winning the toss would like to make use of it to draw first blood. South Africa seem to have struck the right balance in recent weeks and would hope to continue doing more of the same. D/L method favoured South Africa in the last match for a change, as they have been on the wrong side of it on numerous occasions in the past. South Africa will definitely go into this match as the favourites under home conditions but Pakistan is expected to put up a fight in this match, after all they have some of the best international T20 players in the world.
