Question.

Life at Barcá without Leo

Messi’s 3rd thigh injury since the start of the season sidelines him for upto 8 weeks time. If his recovery goes as per planned, we might see him in a barca shirt only after new year. It makes an interesting reading into how Barcelona will cope without the leading goal scorer. Messi already a legend at such a young age, has left a huge hole in the barca lineup. Fabregas has effectively at times filled the role of the false number 9, but with barca having splashed the cash on another megastar, it will interesting to see how Neymar.Jr copes up.

Neymar has so far hit the ground running, having made a very strong start to his Spanish football career. Definitely providing more value for money than the other big signing in the league, Bale. Neymar scored the all important first Goal in his first Classico. And with Barcelona already at a strong position in the league, coach Martino might be tempted to use Neymar more frequently and see him as a direct replacement for messi.

Messi will miss the last 2 champions league clashes as well upto 5 liga matches. Barca would probably rest Neymar in their two legged clash against cartegena in the Spanish cup, and will
Go with the famed youngsters of the academy.

Messi’s absence should not affect Barcelona so much as they have the depth and quality of players to see them through. In Neymar, Sanchez, Fabregas, Pedro and Iniesta they have world class players. And to back them up, Christian tello has been effective whenever used.
