Final Draw for the 2014 FIFA World Cup: Last World Cup finalists drawn in the same group; Italy faces England and Uruguay in same group

The final draw of the FIFA World has been announced and this time there will not one but two “Group of Deaths”. Defending champions Spain have been paired with 2010 World Cup beaten finalists Netherlands in the Group B. What makes the group extremely hard is that Chile has also been drawed in the same group along with unfortunate Australia thereby making it arguably one of the most dangerous groups in the World Cup history. If this is not enough, Group D becomes the second group of death with heavyweights Italy, England and Uruguay in the group. Minnows Costa Rica completes the group.

Hosts Brazil in Group A will battle against Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon while in Group C Colombia got an interesting group with Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan. Group E is arguably the weakest of all the groups with France battling against Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras. Argentina gets a comparatively easy Group F with Bosnia & Herzegovina, Iran and Nigeria completing the group.

Group G pairs Germany with Portugal while Ghana and USA completes another tough looking group. Group H will see Belgium grouped together with Algeria, Russia and South Korea.

The World Cup will be starting from 12th June and continue till 13th July, 2014. The final draw for the 2014 World Cup was held at Costa do Sauipe Resort, Mata de Sao Joao in Bahia.
