Is Yuvraj Singh of 2011 World Cup ever coming back???

Yuvraj Singh, the man who will always be most remembered for his contribution to Team India’s 2011 Cricket World Cup, suddenly seems to be afflicted by a poor vein of form, ever since his comeback to International Cricket. Yuvraj was incidentally the Man of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup, for his outstanding contribution with both bat and ball. He scored 362 runs in his 9 matches, at an average of 90.50. He was also the 2nd highest wicket-taker amongst the Indian bowlers, despite having always carried the tag of being a batsman, who could roll his arm over for a few overs of slow left-arm spin.
Yuvraj was out of cricket for about a year, post India’s 2011 World Cup winning triumph, when he was battling cancer. Since his comeback he has been awarded the Arjuna Award for his contribution to the sport in 2012. However except for a cameo in his comeback T-20 game against Australia, we haven’t really been able to see the Punjab Puttar anyway close to his best. He hasn’t been striking the ball too well, and has look quite ruffled during his stay at the crease, both against Australia and the West Indies. Also he hardly has bowled in any of the matches, since his comeback, and seems to be short on confidence too. So much so that in the South Africa series, the selectors were forced to drop him from the ODI playing XI.
So the big question awaiting all of us is will we ever get to see the Yuvi we got to see in the 2011 World Cup? Taming the opposition bowlers at the death overs of an innings,or breaking crucial partnerships while filling in as the all important 5th bowler in the team, or even coming up with a beauty of a catch/direct hit from nowhere, we indeed miss the Yuvraj we knew ever since his ODI debut vs Kenya in 2000 till he was afflicted with cancer. But then, for a man of his class, we cans safely, say that he will soon get back to his peak of form, and will be striking the ball ever so sweetly. As far as replicating his bowling heroics, though, am not too sure, because Yuvraj’s bowling success in the 2011 World Cup was a one-off success for him in the bowling department, and hence, with the limited opportunities he gets, plus with Ravindra Jadeja fitting in as the 5th bowler, maybe we won’t get to see his bowling heroics again. But, definitely, he’s not done with swashbuckling hits to the fences, as yet, there’s plenty more to come, in the future.
