At the start of the Ashes, all one hoped for this year, was Australia sembling some form of resistance against the England side. The talk was more about the Andersons and Broads, until one man stepped up to the task, and blew the visitors away. That man is Mitchell Johnson. His strategy of testing the visitors, with an array of short-pitched stuff, at raw pace, with deliveries whizzing past the batsman’s grill every now and then. And he has indeed taken the English batsmen by surprise. His figures of 23 wickets in the 3 matches played so far are a testimony to that, and the scare he generates in the minds of the batsmen, have enable him to achieve a per 33 ball-wicket on an average.
