Tottenham Hotspur’s: It’s time to buckle up and stop pointing fingers at each other for a bad season.

If you look at the Spurs club it is one team which always performs well in the English premier league. Till last year they had Gareth bale who was one of the best winger currently present in Europe but unfortunately for spurs, the management decided to sell Bale to the Spanish giants, Real Madrid for a whopping £85.3million in the month of September last year. This was one of the bad move done by the management of spurs last year which resulted in disastrous results for the team in the league as a whole.

If you look at the current squad of spurs it is a mix of young players and experienced players but even with such a team there is no co-ordination between them when they are playing on the pitch. The confidence level is very low when they play against the higher ranked teams of the league. The stats of this season speaks volume for itself. The team concedes first goal on the 29th minute when compared to the time it takes to score i.e. it takes 41 minutes to score the first goal. So you can clearly see that the team always falls behind a goal and hence will end up in following rather than leading the game. Also the way the team performance against the higher ranked team this season is disappointing. The goal differences were huge. This is not the performance expected out of a good team like spurs.

The team has brilliant strikers in Adebayor, Soldado, and the newly joined midfielder Erikson from Ajax had a brilliant debut season. He has openly stated that he is willing to stay back at Spurs. The team also has some decent mid fielders in Eric Lamela and Aaron Lenon and the defence is stable with the experienced Kyle walker and Kaboul. This solid team is backed by the brilliant French goalie Lloris. The overall team looks good hence it’s time for them to spend more time together to jell themselves as a team and come up with a solid performance.

The management has also played a crucial role in bad performance of the team. The management has changed the team manager abruptly in the middle of the season which has made a huge impact on the player’s performance. The team before getting to know the style of one manger are being forced to adapt for the new style by a different manager which is ultimately leading to bad results. The team manager of the last season AVB had many plans to bring in new players after the departure of Gareth Bale but unfortunately he was sacked in the middle of the season due to continuous bad performances in the earlier part of the season. Now the current manager Tim Sherwood had a decent run until the team lost badly with huge goal margins against the top teams in the table. Rumours say that even Tim Sherwood might be shown the doors at the end of this season

Overall both the players and management should be blamed for this poor season. Hope they plug in all their holes and come back strong next season.
