Vettel kisses his way to 197 points to lead the table

A phenomenal saga that began on the 14th of November, 2010 continues to echo till date. Sebastian Vettel became the Youngest World Drivers’ Champion in the entire history of the 63 years of the sport. Aged 23 years and 135 days, “Baby Schumi” won the Championship by winning the last race at the Yas Marina (Formula 1, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix) warding off a close lead of just 4 points over Scuderia-Ferrari-Marlboro’s driver Fernando Alonso at 256 to 252, respectively.

Well the point to lay emphasis on is, 2011 and 2012 saw the same man lifting up the Championship, creating myriads and hundreds of records in the Formula 1 sport. The same man leads upfront, and quite convincingly dominates the Championship 2013 with 197 points at hold, followed some-what distantly by Fernando Alonso at 151. Devouring 44 laps in 1:23:42 196 units, Vettel stood atop the podium of the Spa-Francorchamps (Formula 1, Belgian Grand Prix) just as he had did 2 years back. With 8 more races to go, its surely going to be a comprehensive battle between the top 5, depending whosoever wins the flags the most. Given the significant lead and the evolution of the “New Schumacher”, there is little cloth left for others to pull. Red Bull Racing would be far more than pleased to have Sebastian Vettel driving their car, and the music which maidenly began in 2010 continues to play in sync, when they won the Constructor’s Championship for 3 years straight. With less than a fortnight to go for the Italian Grand Prix, Vettel has high hopes at the Monza and is in a sharp lookout for repeating 2011. Given one of the most popular circuits of the 19, Alonso (151 points), Hamilton (139 points) and Kimi Räikkönen (134 points) too will be at arm’s reach to bag the Glory.

Vettel is revered all the more, especially on the Indian terrain because of his 2 consecutive wins of the only editions of the Budh International Circuit that has taken place in Greater Noida. With a statement “I like it here in India”, Vettel has confirmed that he will be try doing what he’s best at, making records by winning it for the 3rd time on the 27th of October, due by 2 months. Important Indian crowd saw the unfolding mastery of the pro on the Indian Circuit, they would surely would want a deciding race to give the prolific winner.
