Manchester city vs Chelsea: Five players to watch out for

Manchester city vs Chelsea: Five players to watch out for

Manchester City’s only win in their last 15 trips to Stamford Bridge was a 4-2 success in February 2010 when Carlos Tevez and Craig Bellamy both scored twice for the visitors.Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League home games - winning 11 - since a 1-0 defeat by QPR on 2 January.Blues are on a run of seven matches unbeaten, picking up 14 goals in their past four fixtures and have not conceded more than one goal in a Premier League match this season.Manchester City have won seven of the last 10 meetings in all competitions and are looking forward to recreate their magic against blues.

Farnando Torres:Torres is expected to lead Chelsea’s attack against Manchester City on Sunday after scoring twice against Schalke in the Champions League in midweek in a stunning performance which suggested his fortunes are finally on move on an upward curve.Owen hails him as a "mystery player",with a talent which can pull out a match winning performance on any given day.

Hazard:Hazard’s excellent form is not a good sign for a Kompany-less City.  Belgian star would be a constant headache for either Javi Garcia or Martin Demichelis acting in relief of the City skipper, and Chelsea will look to attack the back four through Hazard’s turn of pace.Hazard has made his own space in Chelsea midfield attack striking hard with likes of Ozil.

Ashley Cole:Ashley Cole has perhaps won his battle to recover from a rib injury in time to face title rivals Manchester City on Sunday.Cole has been sidelined since he aggravated the problem during the League game against Norwich earlier this month and couldn’t appear in the German trip too.

Sergio Aguero: Aguero continues to be the club’s lucky charm of the city side - City have never lost when he scored, and this season he has pulled out a blitzkrieg as he has scored nine in nine starts. His credentials will be put to the test against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - but Pellegrini believes with Aguero continuing to be their goal machine, they can outrun blues.

David Silva:Spanish play maker is running in a brilliant form and his stunning performance in a 3-1 victory against West Ham speaks volumes .Spaniard’s performance last week propelled City to their first Premier League away win of the season. After all,Sergio Aguero may have given Manuel Pellegrini’s men their killing spirit with some ruthless finishing but it has been Silva who has been pulling off the strings behind him.
