Is this the Year of PSG in the Champions League?

Fuelled by Oil money from Qatar and guided by the guieled Laurent Blanc, is it time that the million dollar squad of PSG showed off their talent at the European stage.
PSG won the Ligue 1 last year for the first time since 2013, not a surprise considering the club spent 147 million euros for signings in 2012. Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos have arrived this year at the cost of around a 100 million euros. They are the leaders in League 1 as of now.So is the squad good enough to go all the way in the Champions League 2013?
Placed in a relatively easy group with Olympiakos, Benefica and Anderlecht, PSG should make it to round 2. But what after that?
Few things are with PSG this season. A man by the name Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hungrier than ever having seen is country dumped out of the World Cup next year. Then there is Edinson Cavani, a man who has been the top goal scorer in Italy with Napoli. Both of them already have 18 goals between them this season.Enough fire power at the front, you will say.
At the back they look solid with captain Silva, Alex,Maxwell and new recruit Marquinhos.
But are these enough?
A look at the midfield and you will see the lack of world class that you require on those difficult European nights. Thiago Motta at 31 looks to be past his prime. Much of the midfield rests on the Marco Veratti. Here is where PSG fades infront of the likes of the star studded midfields of Barcelona, Bayern and Madrid.
Then there is the curious case of Jeremy Menez who was one of PSG’s top goalscorer’s in UCL last season. But he seems to be out of favor this season with a move to EPL on the cards.
Then there is something most important that a team should have to win the UCL- belief. Dortmund had it last season and almost went all they way. PSG showed none of it when they bowed out of the UCL last season after a loss to Barcelona.
There might be problems in midfield but there are enough players in attack and defence who are more than capable. But PSG have never won the UCL and if Laurent Blanc cannot make them believe that they can, they never will.
