Arsenal back to their glory days?

Arsenal back to their glory days?

What a performance vs Liverpool! Being a Liverpool fan myself, I have to admit it that they were dominating the match and did play some brilliant football. I was indeed upset about the loss, but this made me think, is the current Arsenal team as good as ‘The Invincibles’?
A lot of people got a glimpse of the Arsenal vs Liverpool fixture. No doubt that Arsenal were classy throughout the game. But do they have the quality that Henry’s men had back in the 03-04 season? Well surely Arsenal have a squad full of quality. But when comparing to their golden era, its difficult to choose which one was the better half. Its obvious that many would say that The Invincibles were the best, but I believe that this current team has a lot of potential and looks promising to win titles.
Sure thing that Arsenal lost their first PL match against Aston Villa and hence they can’t do ‘The Invincibles’ thingy again. But then they have played 10 matches and have notched in 25 points from a possible 30, also having won 8 of those. Not only that, they have a wonderful goal difference of 13 goals, 22 goals have been scored and goals conceded till now is 9, which is pretty great. Arsenal are the second most scoring club in the PL after Manchester City who has scored a whooping 28 goals in 10 matches.
And now it comes about the players. The best midfield in all of Europe has to be that of Arsenal’s. Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Cazorla and Arteta, these 5 combined together can rip any team apart. What passing! Their gameplay has to be the best. You get that wonderful feeling when you watch Arsenal play with brilliant passes all throughout the game. Speaking of players, Szczesny has been brilliant on goal, sadly he has been only able to keep 3 clean sheets till date, but he has helped his team get a greater goal difference advantage. Their defence too has been solid this season. Sagna looks much improved than ever, with Vermaelen and Mertesacker right at the heart of the defence, it looks hard to quite go through them. And when it comes to attacking, no words to describe it. Giroud has been influential in scoring goals and has got some assists to his name as well.
When it comes to player rankings, Ramsey is the top scorer for The Gunners with 6 goals, and Giroud comes in second with 5 goals. When it comes to assists, Arsenal players are seen on the top of the ‘Assist List’. 4 assists from each Ozil, Ramsey and Giroud makes them the hottest trio in the PL.  Giroud has made 17 key passes till now. Ramsey is second with most passes, 731 and is second in the list. Just behind Yaya Toure of Manchester City who has completed 819 passes. Wojciech Szczesny has made a total of 34 vital saves in his last 10 games and has kept 3 clean sheets.
Overall, Arsenal have quite a brilliant squad and look promising throughout all the competitions. Arsene Wenger looks better than ever and will do anything to end Arsenal’s trophy drought. Arsenal fans too are flying high with such quality performances from The Gunners. Its been high time now and that all clubs should not take Arsenal easily.
Arsenal have yet to face Manchester United, Southampton and Cardiff in the coming weeks. A win against Borussia Dortmund would be just perfect. And yes, I personally believe that Arsenal have got what it takes to be champions and they can be called as The New Invincibles.
