Question.

Is Toni Kroos' signing for Real Madrid the death kneel for the likes of Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira?

Is Toni Kroos' signing for Real Madrid the death kneel for the likes of Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira?

The World Cup always acts as an audition for the players to get a big-money move. Become a success story at the World Cup and a move to for a player who wants to leave his current club is almost certainly inevitable. Toni Kroos’ move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid is a direct result of his brilliant showing at the World Cup, although Real were interested in acquiring the player even before the World Cup had started.

But what is baffling that due to his signing, Real Madrid have to offload one or two of their better performers. Real Madrid has a galaxy of stars and no one wants to play second fiddle to another. Thus with Kroos further strengthening the already formidable Real midfield, the axe is certainly going to fall on either or both of Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira.

What is astounding is that both the aforementioned players also had brilliant World Cup themselves and surely do not deserve to go. But sadly, this is the reality of club football. However the positives for both will be that they would be guaranteed big ticket moves themselves on the basis of their stellar reputation.

Thus, even though it would be enthralling to watch Toni Kroos in the famous white shirt of Real Madrid wowing the spectators with his skillful passing and ball control, the Madridistas would surely miss Di Maria and Kheidra if they were to exit Real Madrid.
