INDIA CROWNED THE SAFF UNDER-16 TITLE

India represented by All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Regional Academy defeated hosts Nepal 1-0 in the finals played at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu . Jerry Lalrinzuala scored the only goal of the match – in the 18th minute – which gave the Indians awell deserved win since Indians won every game in the tournament.India dominated the game from the kick-off,Nepal, backed by their fans, launched an attackive play after the goal was scored, to get back into the match. The hosts were not able to equalize, and the Indian team were crowned the U-16 SAFF Championship winners.
