Just when Sachin Tendulkar hung up his bat, India may have seen the next batting star on the Horizon.

The prodigious 15 year old Prithvi Shaw turned into a run machine in the prestigious Harris Shield with his knock of 546 in a match between his school Rizvi Springfield and St Francis D’Assisi. His was the first 500-plus score in school cricket.

His father said "Stats speak about themselves, it is easy to talk but he has performed well. We can only talk to him and make him understand to stay longer at the crease but he has to perform in the middle and he did this. He has a great talent and this is his last season for the school and he is the captain, so he knows his responsibilities. I have never asked him to play for the records.".
