The Roar of "El Tigre"

The Roar of "El Tigre"

Power, pace, fire and the explosiveness of a pure No. 9!

Radamel Falcao - El Tigre, the Colombian Falcon and whatever other aliases he is known by - is truly one of the greatest No. 9s in recent history. Built of super strength and a roar in the heart that few other players have, he is a footballing terrorist - he barrels his way through any and every defence that dares cross his path!

A hat-trick against Chelsea in the Super Cup final, consecutive golden boots in consecutive victorious Europa League campaigns, 5 goals in a single La Liga match, and many other achievements that aren’t listed here. One might even begin to wonder what he hasn’t done in football!

And that’s where the big issue is - he is not yet a serial winner. Despite being 28 years old and having a track record more akin to a basketball player (200 goals in 303 matches), the Colombian diamond has yet to win a Champions League title, or a top European league medal.

Why? Because he has too often signed for the wrong teams.

Whilst a large portion of that blame may be attributed to the shady third-party ownership issues he has to contend with, another factor has been the reluctance of top clubs to indulge his suspect colleagues. Monaco was the only club to agree to pay him so much in wages, and he eventually signed for a team with an average attendance lower of a measly 9,000 fans.

That is a travesty, and the men at the Santiago Bernabeu know it.

They have a superstar team, but as ever, the men behind the Galacticos know that it is not enough. Despite having signed a shiny new contract, placing Karim Benzema in front of James Rodriguez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale is a waste. When you buy the best statue, you need the best crown, and Radamel Falcao is that golden crown!

Despite his heart-wrenching injury issues, he is quickly looking like he is ready to take the world by storm again, and Real Madrid are trying to be unbeatable; are they not a perfect match?

Radamel Falcao needs to play for the biggest clubs, and they don’t come much bigger than the team with 10 Champions League titles.

He needs to make fans all over the globe roar at his outrageous skill, and Real Madrid need a world-class striker.

Despite it being almost TOO perfect, very few teams will ever stand a chance against this monstrosity of a front 6.
